Lapena Social Housing
-
The proposal is structured around a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional residential vilas found in our cities. It draws, on one hand, from the richness of the social relationships they foster, and on the other, incorporates a variety of devices to enhance this sense of community in response to the ever-changing nature of life. Through a series of courtyards, it seeks to encourage encounters among small neighborhood clusters, enabling multiple uses, access points, and interactions. These courtyards are woven together by galleries and are articulated with the larger ensemble.
