Competition Proposal

The Campina Grande Fair is a complex system of materialities and coexistence. A heterogeneous structure: a place of multiple scales and urban contexts, all fundamental to the history and culture of the region. They are juxtaposed contrasts, streets that intertwine free/programmed spaces with covered/uncovered, and permanent/temporary spaces. Rich in its immateriality, but precarious in its built spaces. Excess is its greatness and the neglect of it, its ruin. The requalification project, therefore, proposes to strengthen the spatial unity of the fair space from existing elements, creating unity between all buildings and streets - a large urban space of programmed, free and green areas united by common elements.
